First thing you should’ve done was measure the width of your stud spacing. You could do that by just looking at your ceiling and seeing where the nails are since your walls were unpainted. Common widths I’ve seen are 16” and 24” on center. You bought 15” width insulation instead of 23” width insulation. My garage attic has 24” on center width like yours.

Two small suggestions to make it even better. 1) Replace your wall switch with a motion activated one. It's so nice to just have it come on automatically, especially when pulling in. Set it to have a long timeout before it turns off as you can still manually turn it off from the motion wall switch if you care about energy usage as well. 2) With my Hex light install, I made one small hex ring that is powered off of the garage door opener's lamp socket. You can just get a cheap adapter to turn the lamp socket into a regular wall plug that you can plug the separate hex light into. Instead of just turning on the bulb, it turns on one hex ring that is separate from the rest of the garage light. It provides a lot of light by itself and the fact that it operates in conjunction with your opener is the chef's kiss. My hex lights used about 11 watts per tube so it was well under the lamp socket max rating as well so no issues there.

Good idea. Never thought about the fact that the attic space above my garage was not insulated. I'll tackle this during winter for next summer. :)

My Edge radiater fins are All squish. I think the previous owner plowed in a snow bank. It doen't heat up, and I haul a small camper in the summer. It will take me 2 days to do what you did to your small spots. Mabe I buy another...Pouahaha

Thanks for the video! You convinced me to buy one myself. For what it’s worth, the second set of wires goes to the safety sensors at the bottom of the door. I have a similar setup and was able to trace one set of wires there.

Hi @J Robling, Mine also has no heat as you had, but my actuators are all moving just fine from cold to hot position. Could it be a water valve not opening for hot water to flow through the core? Anyone else been in this situation and found the culprit? Thank you.

To shut off the loud repeating beeping noise of microwave oven ( Kitchen-Aid) , keep pressing the "2" button for 5 seconds (until you see GOOD displayed on the screen) . Worked for me !

That wiring diagram is for a non illuminated switch. One would need an additional one or two additional contacts for the light ( one contact is automatically grounded through the existing contact that would be noted as ground). Any idea if there is power available on one of your contacts when switched on or if there is a contact that grounds when turned on. Either way you could wire an LED indicator and mount it to the blank panel next to the switch or perhaps hide it somewhere up in or on the instrument cluster. This reminds me of the mod I did to enable cruise control on my car. Two contacts are used to the steering column and running through several resistors. The resistors tell the ECU wether to engage or disengage cruise while the other two resistors control increase or decrease speed. One also needs to add the factory switch that enables either cruise control or speed minder as long as the factory harness has the contact assembly clipped behind the switch panel.

I bought a used scooter and it take 2 12v batteries. It seems to drain the battery very quickly. I bought the 2 batteries on fb she says they are new. I just go down hill at my job parking lot just to clear my mind. I let gravity do all the work yet I can see the battery dies fast less then 5mins give or take again going down hill. What could a common problem be? The batteries?

My insight 2010 is also meeting a similar problem. It is deciding when to accelerate. Placing the fuel peddle and no response. But when it decides to accelerate, it's working. This problem happens when I drive a long distance and especially when fuel level is low
